Vladimir Kirillov is engaged in the League of Legends at 20kl. He made his secured messenger, a platform for microservices in ZALORA, a video streaming service in CDN. Loves Haskel and Erlang.
Vladimir promises to introduce Bayesian inference and showcase probabilistic programming languages (Anglican, WebPPL, Edward) as an instrument for prototyping machine learning models. You will see Bayesian regressions without SGD, Linear Gaussian and HMMs without Kalman filtering, Gaussian and Poisson Mixtures without EM and a glimpse towards Bayesian nonparametric models. Almost all inferences will be done using MCMC-style algorithms (Random-walk MH and SMC) that are available out-of-the-box.
After the lecture will be short Q&A session.
When: 14 November, 19:00.
Where: UCU, Kozelnytska street 2, Lectorium.
Price: 200 UAH, in the event day - 250 UAH.
