Vulnerable children, be it socioeconomic, geographic, physical, emotional or intellectual, have poorer health outcomes and are often challenging to engage using traditional healthcare models. This forum will showcase health service initiatives to support vulnerable children and their families.
We will discuss mortality in vulnerable children, the role of child protection, children in Out of Home and Kinship care and some specific groups including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder or an intellectual disability.
There will also be an opportunity for you to let us know what you would like the Paediatric Clinical Network to focus on moving forward.
