San Jose Police Department Women's Career Day
CHECK IN TIME - 7:00 AM - 7:45 AM
SEMINAR WILL BEGIN AT 8:00 AM SHARP
This is a free law enforcement career seminar open to the general public. Our emphasis will be on knowledge, preparation, and your success towards a career as a San Jose Police Officer. Get to know what opportunities await you.
At our seminar, you will learn more about:
- The life of a San Jose Police Officer, through several officers who come from a variety of backgrounds and have a wide range of experience.
- A walk-through and demonstration of the wall climb, life-like dummy drag, and obstacle course portions of the physical agility test. Instructors will be there to teach several techniques to pass and succeed. Afterwards, you will be able to practice these techniques.
- Our Force Options Simulator, an interactive tactics training platform devised to engage in force response simulations. Volunteers can participate in a training exercise after the demonstration has been completed.
- Speak with police officers, 911 dispatchers, community service officers and records/police data specialists about the opportunities available in these career fields. Come prepared with questions.
