The Independence BrewBQ is a one day outdoor festival featuring BBQ vendors, live music, a Craft Brew Zone, a bike ride and is a fundraiser for charity at the same time! This year is our 14th year and we are looking to make it the biggest and best yet.

Admittance into Riverwalk Parks is FREE with the opportunity to purchase delicious barbecue and brews on tap. Everyone can enjoy live music from (our music acts will be announced leading up to the event). Those wishing to check out the Craft Brew Zone can purchase brew tasting passes in advance or the day of the event. You must be a pass holder to enter that area of the event.

The Craft Brew Zone is a separate fenced area with over 100 craft brews from breweries and home brewers. Each paid entrant will receive a commemorative BrewBQ glass for the tastings, and several hours to taste all of the magnificent creations from home brewers and breweries alike. Tasters are welcome to come and go as they please from the Craft Brew Zone until 7pm.

Back this year! Purchase a limited V.I.P. Craft Brew Zone pass to gain early entry into the tasting area starting at 3pm. Taste some exclusive options during the V.I.P. hour, get a first crack at the full list of options and chat with our brewers.

The R.A.S.H. Ride Too! is set to kick off early in the morning. Ride your bicycle at your own pace around the beautiful rolling landscape of Buchanan County all on hard surfaced roads - some of the best in the state.

Important Information:

We want your BrewBQ Craft Brew Zone experience to be top notch and we need to adhere to all Iowa regulations regarding beer festivals. For this reasons, we must abide by the following policies.

• Absolutely NO ONE under the age of 21 (no children) is permitted into the Craft Brew Zone tasting area. There are no exceptions.
  
• Only Craft Brew Zone Pass holders, designated volunteers, and participating brewers are allowed into the Craft Brew Zone tasting area.
• We DO NOT offer free or discounted designated driver passes at this time. These folks are welcome to all other areas of the event (including food and music areas) for free and Craft Brew Zone Pass holders may enter and exit the Craft Brew Zone tasting area at their leisure.
• Remember: We love all things beer and BBQ and above all else - giving back. Our event is always focused on our designated charity. The more successful our Craft Brew Zone Pass sales, etc. the more we can give to a deserving organization. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Free parking is available at the event in designated grass lots. They are clearly marked.

What can I bring into the event?

We recommend a lawn chair if you would like guaranteed seating for listening to music, etc. There are no fireworks, coolers, outside alcoholic beverages, or pets allowed into Riverwalk Parks.

What's the refund policy?

We do not offer refunds, but you may contact us to transfer your ticket into another person's name if you are unable to attend.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, we will have your name on a Will Call list when you check-in for the Craft Brew Zone.

Yes, you may contact us to transfer your Craft Brew Zone pass into another person's name for the Will Call check-in.
