The purpose of this conference is to promote health and happiness in our community by empowering and motivating our "Helpers" to develop their knowledge and skills and grow their support networks. If you are a volunteer, a parent, or a motivated person who likes to make an impact in the lives of others, then this conference is the place for you!

About Happiness and Wellness Workshop:
Registered Psychologist, researcher, and volunteer Khateeb, Mahdi Qasqas will conduct a workshop on practical, evidence-based three-stage Sunnah-Based framework to promote health and happiness in yourself and others. It will include the basic foundations of integrating Islam into counselling as well as how to prevent serious psychological problems from happening. This workshop will help everyone get a better understanding of the root causes to the stigma on mental health, main psychological disorders from both a Psychology and Islamic perspective, and strategies to preventing day to day psychological injuries from becoming serious problems.
About Shura Cafe:
Through a round of Shura Cafe, community "Helpers" will have an opportunity to engage in mutual dialogue with experienced community leaders and Counsellors. This session is geared towards developing effective and Islamically integrated solutions to lead to real lasting impact in someone's life. Experts include Imam Saddiq Pathan, Dr. Mohammad Mahdi, and Omar Farah. This is a great opportunity to be part of something that has the potential to help many couples, parents, and volunteers to not only be happier, but live a better physical, psychological, and spiritual life.
Daycare Service:
Daycare services will be available on-site to ensure parents can attend and learn from our diverse experts. The drop-in fee is 10$ per child for the whole duration of the event.
