On September 25th 2019 the UK GOGA Steering Group will host it’s 4th annual Get Out Get Active (GOGA) conference. Launched in 2016, the GOGA programme, funded by Spirit of 2012, is now three years into providing opportunities to reach the UK’s very least active disabled and non-disabled people in fun and inclusive activities together.
This conference is centred around opportunities to share better practice and learn from GOGA colleagues and invited guests; a chance for local and national partners from the programme and beyond to share ideas and get a real sense of effective practice in engaging the very least active disabled and non-disabled people in activity together.
Through GOGA we wanted to provide genuinely inclusive activities that will appeal to those least active individuals within our communities. We believe through doing this we can challenge peoples’ perceptions around disability and strengthen communities through better understanding and more opportunities to connect to each other. Across the 18 localities and network of national partners we’ve come a huge way in achieving this and have some great practice to celebrate and share!
For invited partners this event is free to attend, please complete registration to secure your place.
