Individuals with self-harm OCD frequently go to the ER fearful that they are in danger of suicide. This can stress the ER staff and steer the individual further into their OCD. In this workshop, attendees will learn how to assess for and differentiate intrusive, unwanted self-harm obsessions that occur in OCD from genuine suicidal ideation and planning. This differentiation is key to providing adequate treatment.
