Winning with Community-based Approaches to Childhood Asthma
The 11th Annual Asthma Disparities Summit will explore the benefits and logistics of engaging community-based resources to support families in managing their child’s asthma. The Summit will specifically highlight Philadelphia’s housing resources as well as cover national health and housing programs. Professionals will be equipped to better support children with asthma by using a community-focused approach which integrates local resources and perspectives from the community at large.
Learning objectives
- How to identify and utilize community resources to manage asthma
- The approach to developing and evaluating a housing project to improve asthma
- How community partnerships contribute to the success of asthma programs
The Summit and post-conference workshop are free of charge. Everyone is welcome, including healthcare professionals, researchers, public health professionals, educators/daycare staff and parents.
