Just in time for adventures in the stunningly beautiful autumn woods of Connecticut, and chilly October evenings of story-telling! Stephen Gencarella, a professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, whose work focuses on the folklore of New England, will share stories from two of his publications: Wicked Weird & Wily Yankees and Spooky Trails and Tall Tales Connecticut. Both books will be available for purchase. All royalties from the former benefit youth and education programs at the Connecticut River Museum (at which Gencarella is the Resident Folklorist); and 25% of the royalties from the sale of the latter will benefit the Friends of Connecticut Parks. Professor Gencarella’s presentation is free.
