Kyiv Smart City Forum 2020 is an innovative online platform for discussing the future of smart cities. In a constant stream of alarming news, we will provide participants with practical tools and useful recommendations for a safe and comfortable life in the city now. On October 8, the best Ukrainian and international innovation experts, urban planners, government officials and crisis managers will discuss the transformations taking place around the world under the influence of the pandemic and how to localize this experience in Ukraine. No myths and manipulations only verified and structured information from professionals that will help citizens adapt to new conditions.
The program of the forum consists of six sections that highlight the most important issues of today and ways to solve them. The focus is on the readiness of cities and citizens for crises, automation of processes and technologies that help to feel safe in a rapidly changing world. Participants will discover global trends in the development of smart cities in the section "Smart city" and the functioning of modern crypto-economy and artificial intelligence in the section "Modern digital technologies in the smart city". Experts of the section will discuss the development of intelligent video analytics in Ukraine and the world and will answer the question of how privacy and digitalization coexist at this stage.
Together with the speakers of the Smart Environment section, participants will learn about the significant role of Big Data in the implementation of intelligent systems in the new urban architecture in the “Smart architecture” section.
The forum will also include an annual award ceremony for leading cities in implementing innovative solutions in infrastructure. The expert jury will award the most successful Ukrainian cities in the following 8 nominations: Best Decentralized City, Best Inclusive City, Best Digital City, Best Mobile City, Best Ecological City, Best Smart Safe City, Best Architectural City, Best Energy Efficient City. The popularization and promotion of innovations testify to the readiness of cities and communities in our country to actively use digital services in all spheres of life.
Last year, the forum was visited by more than 4,000 guests. 60 best international and Ukrainian experts shared their knowledge and experience of technology implementation, including Dan Kincaid - urban planner who saved the city of Detroit after the largest municipal bankruptcy in US history, Jamie Haywood - CEO of Uber in Northern and Eastern Europe, Alex Tan - director M1 Limited from Singapore. In 50 demo zones, there were technological decisions of vendors, city projects, innovative developments for smart cities. This year we have prepared an even more impressive program in a new innovative format.
