This evening's schedule: 6:00 – 6:30 PM Free meditation instruction for first-time attenders and those wishing a refresher in basic meditation 6:30 – 7:30 PM Public meditation (a mix of sitting and walking practice) 7:30 ~ 8:00 PM Community social with tea and treats ~8:00 - 9:00 PM  On evenings when there are no formal classes scheduled, we will also offer a public talk and discussion on a variety of topics such as meditation practices (sitting, movement), dharma arts, social engagement, and connecting with the natural world. Please check individual dates for any special offerings. We are a local Shambhala meditation group in Peterborough, part of the global Shambhala community and a satellite of the Toronto Shambhala Centre. We offer public meditation sessions, meditation instruction, and courses of practice, study, and the arts in the Shambhala tradition. Our primary intention is to establish a locally-rooted Kawartha community of meditators interested in supporting and strengthening one another in whatever activities each of us engage in to serve our cultures, families, society, environment, and world. As a non-profit and all-volunteer organization, your donations to help cover our operating expenses are always appreciated, and are tax-deductible. We meet on Monday evenings (except statutory holidays), 6-9 PM.
