Featuring Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser, conductor
In collaboration with Pier 21, this concert celebrates the courage, strength and challenge that comes with arriving in a new place and making new friends. Come celebrate with the Symphony and local Syrian musicians as we hear the amazing music newcomers have brought with them to Nova Scotian shores. This concert will feature English/Arabic translation.
We encourage activity and participation at these family concerts! Bring the whole family and have fun enjoying and learning about music together.
We welcome children on the autism spectrum and their parents. Our family shows are designed to be participatory, relaxed, and informal. We encourage children to be active and involved in our orchestral performances. Vocalizations, movements, and taking breaks are part of the fun!
Please note that seating is first-come, first-served. You and your children are also welcome to stand, sit on the floor, or move around as you wish!
Unfortunately, due to space limitations, we're not able to reserve free tickets for adults without children. Adults wishing to attend without children can purchase a museum pass at the door. Please note that the seating area is reserved for families with children only.
