The 32nd Annual Hoboken House Tour will be held on Sunday, October 21st from 10am-4pm. The tour will feature approximately 10 homes and condominiums, plus special points of interest. The homes are graciously opened to visitors by Museum supporters to help us raise funds for the many events and programs the Hoboken Historical Museum organizes annually. Every year, the tour offers a fresh selection of traditional and contemporary homes and condos furnished in a wide range of styles.
Last year's tour offered an outstanding collection of homes, which features appealed to fans of traditional, mod and eclectic decor, including...
- A beautiful uptown townhome with gorgeous period details and stunning contemporary decor
- A Bloomfield St home with carefully restored 1870s-era plaster molding complete with all modern-day conveniences
- A spectacular home with great style on Castle Point Terrace complete with an outdoor pool
- A stunning home on Garden Street featuring local art, salvaged treasures and a modern kitchen
- Several newly finished homes and condos with unique features, such as a 1,000 SF wrap-around terrace, a three-story central atrium, and a stunning art studio
Details: The self-guided tour takes about two to three hours on foot. Houses open at 10 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. (tickets should be picked up by 2 pm). Homes may be visited in any order but we outline the homes in order in an attempt to control the flow of visitors. Once you check in, you will be given a map and tour program/booklet with details of each home (available only on the day of the tour). The tour is a lot of fun and attracts people from Hoboken, and the surrounding area, even the suburbs!
2018 Tickets & Schedule: This year we will be offering two ticket options; an Uptown and Downtown option. These options allow tour goers to choose which museum location they would like to pick up their ticket and start the tour at. The tour is intended for adults and kids over 12.
1) Downtown Ticket: Valid from 10am to 4pm, pick up your ticket anytime at the Fire Department Museum at 213 Bloomfield Street in Hoboken and start your tour downtown...Plan on stopping for a break during the tour at one of the many restaurants we will have outlined on the tour! Ticket Price is $40. If you wait until the day of the tour, the ticket price jumps to $50 (if there are any tickets left)...
2) Uptown Ticket: Valid from 10am to 4pm, pick up your ticket anytime at the Historical Museum at 1301 Hudson Street and start your tour in uptown Hoboken...Plan on stopping for a break during the tour at one of the many restaurants we will have outlined on the tour! Ticket Price is $40. If you wait until the day of the tour, the ticket price jumps to $50 (if there are any tickets left)...
Same Day Tickets: If not sold out, we will be offering a limited amount of same day tickets available at either of the Museums: Fire Department Museum at 213 Bloomfield Street, Hoboken or Historical Museum at 1301 Hudson Street, Hoboken. Ticket Price is $50.
Museum Member Tickets: Museum members enjoy a discounted price of $40 on the day of the tour, however, tickets may sell out in advance.
