Bookmark is thrilled to announce that the New York Times bestselling author Louise Penny will be in Halifax on December 10th for an event including readings, Q&A and a book signing. This is a fundraising event with the net proceeds from ticket sales and a portion of book sales being donated to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
Louise’s latest Inspector Gamache novel, Kingdom of the Blind, “reveals a deeper vulnerability in the introspective Inspector Gamache; is it possible he's not quite sure of himself anymore? A theme of desperation plays out in both story arcs, as characters from all walks of life move between hope and despair and traverse the fine line that separates them. The ending is adrenaline-filled....This starts as a small-town mystery and becomes something grander and more frightening.” ―Kirkus Reviews
Louise will be joined on stage by the moderator for the evening event, well known CBC broadcaster Louise Renault, for a stimulating and entertaining evening of reading and conversation.
LOUISE PENNY is the author of the #1 New York Times and Globe and Mail bestselling series of Chief Inspector Armand Gamache novels. She has won numerous awards, including a CWA Dagger and the Agatha Award (six times), and was a finalist for the Edgar Award for Best Novel. In 2017, she received the Order of Canada for her contributions to Canadian culture. Louise lives in a small village south of Montréal.
The event will be held in the Commonwealth Ballroom at the Westin Nova Scotia on December 10th starting at 7:00 PM.
