On March 15th, MSU Denver and PeaceJam will co-host Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Rigoberta Menchú Tum, the first indigenous woman to have ever won the Nobel Peace Prize, for a public lecture. As one of the most widely recognized political and human rights activists in Central America, Rigoberta was recognized with the Nobel Peace Prize in 1992 for her social justice work and efforts to achieve ethno-cultural reconciliation based on respect for the rights of indigenous peoples.
For those interested in a more intimate audience with Rigoberta, a VIP reception will occur directly preceeding the Public Talk.
