Quail Ridge Books is delighted to announce that Randall Munroe will discuss his new book, How To: Absurd Scientific Advice for Common Real-World Problems at NC State University's Hunt Library on Thursday, September 19 at 7 pm.
From the brilliant mind behind the wildly popular webcomic XKCD and the #1 New York Times bestsellers What If? and Thing Explainer comes the world's most entertaining and useless self-help guide.
Randall will be in conversation with Katie Mack, (a.k.a. Dr Katherine J Mack) astrophysicist/cosmologist, occasional freelance science writer, connoisseur of cosmic catastrophes and Assistant Professor of Physics at North Carolina State University. Her book, The End of Everything, will be out next year.
Each ticket includes a copy of How To: Absurd Scientific Advice for Common Real-World Problems, a reserved seat, a place in the signing line, and ticket fees.
For students: There are a limited number of free tickets available for current NC State University students on a first-come, first-served basis, one ticket per student. To reserve your free ticket, sign up at this link. Please note: free student tickets do not include a copy of the book; however, books will be available for purchase on-site.
