About RICE Rally
RICE Rally is a public event that is designed specifically for youth (under 18) in the high school stage of life, plus youth leaders who accompany groups of youth. We do welcome supporting adults who are keen to attend, and have created an Adult ticket category for this purpose. Adults will have a reserved seating area in the venue. We appreciate your support in this as we together continue to make this event accessible for the youth of Auckland!
Please ensure you download and print your tickets beforehand or have your QR code accessible on your phone via the Eventbrite app.
FAQs
1. If I am over 18, is there any way to attend this event without paying full Adult price?
As the event is centered around high schoolers, if you attend a church and are an over 18 uni student or young worker, we would encourage you to get involved in Rally this year as one of our incredible volunteer team members! You can enquire about this via the website at www.ricemovement.org/rally and there are various areas such as ushering, advising, logistics. Volunteering requires attendance at a training day called Huddle on Saturday 29th June (Auckland, Perth and Melbourne) and 6th July (Sydney). All volunteers will receive a discounted ticket price to be paid on the day of Huddle which covers Rally ticket, a free RICE Volunteer T-shirt, food & refreshments as needed at Huddle and Rally day, and an exclusive 40% off all official RICE Rally merchandise!
2. If I bought my ticket at the pre-sale at last year's Rally, will I receive an eventbrite ticket?
Yes. Your presale ticket purchased last year will apply for this year's Rally!
3. If I volunteer, will I still have to pay for a ticket?
Yes you will, discounted as above in Question 1.
4. If I am a youth involved in the creative teams, do I need to purchase a ticket?
Youth Creative teams will be provided with a ticket AND a free t-shirt AND food on the day of Rally for just $15. You'll also receive 40% off all official RICE Rally merchandise. You'll be instructed on how and when to pay via your Creative Leaders
5. How can I sponsor a high schooler to attend the event?
When you enter the box office, we have created a category named "Donation: Sponsor a Ticket". Our box office team will action this presently upon receiving these donations (in the multiples of the standard ticket price) by issuing refunds for tickets that have been purchased and applied for by young people, for their friends. We concurrently issue them your sponsored ticket/s as "Guest Ticket" to bring with them on the night. It's an easy and incredible way to potentially change a young person's eternity. We encourage you to be generous in this way.
6. How does the 'Bring a Friend Campaign' work?
If you are a high schooler and you have a non-Christian friend that you would like to bring to Rally, then we will provide them with a free ticket via reimbursement. You have to firstly purchase a ticket for them and we will reimburse you once we have sponsors (see Qu 5). The link to the ticket reimbursement will be sent to you via email when you purchase your Rally tickets. You will have to fill in the form and remember, it is a first come first serve basis - as people sponsor tickets, we reimburse! So get in quick!
7. If I am a church leader and have a number of youth coming but don't know exactly who, can I purchase in bulk?
Yes you can, you can purchase up to 10 tickets at a time and simply put details TBC. The main condition of course, is that those tickets purchased are for high schoolers OR youth leaders only! We will be in contact with you directly to collect more information on the recipients of those tickets both as a safeguard to ensuring the ticketing system is not being abused, but to also touch base and say thanks for organising your youth group along.
8. Is there going to be group seating?
This year to arrange group seating is to let you guys save your own seats! We will open doors promptly at 4.30pm and you can designate some of your group to come early to save seats for the rest. That way, it will be first come first served, but without the stress of trying to move mountains in getting everyone of your group there at the same time!
9. What time will the event finish?
The latest you should expect to be heading home is 9.30pm. As such, we would strongly advise you eat something prior to arrival! Why not enjoy a big afternoon tea/early dinner around the venue as a youth group?
10. What's the refund policy?
Refunds can be applied up to 7 days before Rally
11. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You may bring a printout of the ticket or your smartphone (make sure it is bright enough) to scan upon arrival.
12. Can I update my registration information?
No, once you've paid for your tickets, you cannot change details, however if there are details left TBC, we will be in touch with you to confirm those details directly.
13. Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Yes, however you must contact us. If you have purchased and confirmed the attendee and they can no longer attend but someone else can in their place, please email us to update us as we will be making ID checks if appropriate.
14. Is it okay if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
It's okay. Our main policing will be on age - ensuring over 18s have adult tickets vs youth tickets.
