Join author and serial entrepreneur Sangu Delle for the launch of his first book – Making Futures: Young Entrepreneurs in a Dynamic Africa. He'll be in conversation with Patrick Awuah, Founder and President of the prestigious Ashesi University.

Making Futures profiles 17 of the most inspirational, courageous and hard-working young entrepreneurs in Africa. To celebrate the launch of Making Futures,  Sangu Delle will be sharing his expertise with a Q&A session, moderated by Patrick Awuah. Sangu has acquired a vast knowledge of business environments across Africa, with a particular focus on start-ups and entrepreneurship, and will endeavour to respond to questions, drawing on examples taken from the 600 young people he interviewed in the course of his research. Come and test his knowledge on everything from researching investment opportunities to management, recruitment, raising capital and marketing!

Sangu Delle is Managing Director of Africa Health Holdings focused on "building Africa's healthcare future" and Chairman of Golden Palm Investments Corporation, an African venture capital firm. His GPIC portfolio companies have raised over $500 million in the last 5 years. Delle has been named Africa’s “Young Person of the Year”, a TED Fellow, a Tutu Fellow and Forbes’ top 30 most promising entrepreneurs in Africa. Sangu is a Trustee of the Peddie School, an Advisory Board member of Harvard University's Center for African Studies and a member of Harvard Medical School’s Global Health Advisory Council. Sangu graduated with a BA, a JD, and an MBA from Harvard University.

Patrick Awuah is the Founder and President of Ashesi University, a private, not-for-profit institution that has quickly gained a reputation for innovation and quality education in Ghana. In 2012, Ashesi University was ranked as one of the top ten Most Respected Companies in Ghana, and was the first educational institution to win the award. In the same survey, Patrick Awuah was named the 4th Most Respected CEO in Ghana.

Before founding Ashesi University, Patrick worked as a Program Manager for Microsoft where, among other things, he spearheaded the development of dial-up internet working technologies and gained a reputation for bringing difficult projects to completion. He has won many prestigious international awards including the MacArthur Fellowship; the McNulty Prize; Membership of the Order of the Volta -- one of Ghana’s highest awards, given to individuals who exemplify the ideal of service to the country, and the World Innovation Summit for Education Prize. In 2015, Patrick was named one of the World’s 50 Greatest Leaders by Fortune, and received the Elise and Walter A. Haas International Award, given to UC Berkeley alumni with distinguished records of service to their countries.
