IMPORTANT: Family Day Dinner will be held at The Lyceum on November 16, 21, and 30. Family Day Dinner on all other dates will be held at Traditions.
The Commanding General, the highest ranking officer on MCRD Parris Island, is responsible for leading the Marines in creating the world’s most elite fighting force. The Commanding General, if on base, and the Depot Command, other leaders charged with turning recruits into Marines, will be available for a casual reception to share in the excitement of Graduation.
Immediately following the Commanding General’s welcome remarks at 4:30 p.m., dinner with members of the Depot Command begins. While enjoying a seasonal menu made with fresh ingredients, you'll talk with other new families and experienced Marines about recruit training and what to expect after graduation. This truly is a family dinner with your Marine Corps family. This is meant to be a relaxing evening and the attire is casual. There is limited seating and reservations are required for dinner. Bar service is available. Your new Marine will be busy preparing for Graduation and is unable to attend this event.
