Charity: GirlForward is a community of support dedicated to creating and enhancing opportunities for girls who have been displaced by conflict and persecution.
GirlForward supports girls through three core programs:
- Their Mentoring Program pairs girls with mentors to engage in "4W" activities (Wellness, Wisdom, Wallet and World) in order to explore their passions and graduate from high school.
- Camp GirlForward provides a space for girls to simultaneously build their English skills while exploring their identities and learning about the world around them.
- The Safe Spaces Program provides safe spaces for girls to explore their identities, connect with other girls, and access the resources they need.
Parking: Parking will be available for free along the streets, but are first come, first serve. We highly recommend carpooling, Uber, Lyft, using public transportation, or riding your bicycle to the event.

Limited street parking may be available. Paid parking is available at the Chicago History Museum lot, (Clark and LaSalle, with the entrance on Stockton Drive ) or in the Lincoln Park Zoo Lot (on Cannon Drive, just south of Fullerton) on a first come, first serve basis.
5K Swag: All 5K participants will recieve a race shirt, medal, fanny pack, and lots of candy!
Kids Run Swag: All Kids Run participants will recieve a race shirt, medal, bib, and lots of candy!
Awards: The top 3 Male & Female Finishers in each age group in the 5K RUN ONLY receive an age group medal. Age groups are as follows: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
The awards ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m. at Lincoln Park.
Finisher Medal: All 5K run and walk with recieve a finisher medal at the end.
Timing: The Candy Dash 5k RUN is an officially timed event using the disposable B-Tag timing system. Timing chips are attached directly to the back of your bib number and are to remain adhered for the duration of the event. Only the run will be timed.
Packet Pick-up: Pre-race packet pick-up is Road Runner Sports (Old Town).

Race day packet pick-up will be available at Montrose Harbor. PPU will close EXACTLY the times listed below so please come early and expect lines!
- 5K PPU 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m
- Kids Dash PPU 6:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
Dogs & Strollers: Strollers are allowed at this event in the WALK ONLY. Dogs are not allowed for safety reasons.
Refunds: Since the Candy Dash 5K & Kids Run has many upfront costs, we have a strict and uniform policy of no refunds, no person-to-person transfer, or no deferrals to a future year. We do understand that plans change, injuries happen, and various situations arise, but, we feel it is most fair to apply a uniform policy to all, instead of a subjective line of who should receive a refund and who doesn’t. All purchases and sales are 100% final, no exceptions. Refunds will not be issued based on weather conditions. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

How It Works
- Register For the Virtual Candy Dash 5K – DOMESTIC ONLY.
- You will receive your swag (Shirt, Bib, Medal, and Candy) in the mail
- Run/Walk your race on any day.
- If you want a PDF Certificate of Completion emailed please submit your Name, Time, date of completion, and any photos to events@adrenalinesportsmanagement.com
