DUBSKIN
For nearly a decade the Colorado based reggae band, DubSkin, has been writing, recording and performing their unique brand of roots reggae music. Since forming in 2006, DubSkin has independently released multiple ground breaking albums and has shared the stage with reggae giants such as Burning Spear, Stephen Marley, Israel Vibrations, Matisyahu, SOJA and Collie Buddz to name a few. DubSkin has also played some of the prominent music venues and festivals in America including the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater, Wakarusa, Camp Bisco and Summer Camp.
With the release of their latest album, Light The Dark, DubSkin continues to push the boundaries of the reggae genre and create music that is not only danceable but also provokes contemplation on the nature of reality, the history of humanity, the issues societies face today and the possible solutions of tomorrow. By combining soulful vocals, conscious lyrics, catchy melodies and body moving rhythms, DubSkin is blazing a trail of their own in the reggae musical landscape.
The Al Capones
The Alcapones is a musical brotherhood that is one part heart and one part madness, initially founded in 2012. This band shares life’s simple joys through original music inspired by authentic Jamaican ska, rocksteady and reggae. From raw originals to jazz/ska/reggae fusion, the Alcapones’ unique style continuously inspires your feet on the dance floor. Raise your spirit and celebrate life like a gangster of love!
Niceness
Niceness is rooted in the traditional sounds of island reggae; seamlessly integrating elements of soul, funk, latin and hip-hop while staying true to their authentic reggae vibes. Their lyrics embody a conscious message seldom found in this day and age, centrally focused on love, personal responsibility, interdependence and sustainability. With a strong foundation of musicians, Michael Gomberg on drums, David Christeson on the keys, Mike Enriquez on bass, Dustin Wilson on guitar, Jonathan Barfield on percussion, Jeff Gutierrez on tenor sax, John White on Alto sax and Jared Wright on trumpet, the musical sense and rhythm is solid allowing for the vocal melodies of Koral Delatierra to sweep you away into the niceness that is abounding all around us.
"Our goal as a band is to spread positive vibrations with our music, sharing words of wisdom and gratitude to inspire and empower our fellow brothers and sisters to know thyself and to stand in truth and love."
Selassie & The Fafa Family
Born in Accra, Ghana, Selasee grew up exposed to the colorful and energetic sounds of Highlife Music. With this exposure Selasee created his own style—a unique blend of Reggae, West African Highlife and American Pop music. Threading together English and West African lyrics for a bright and captivating sound.
On the touring circuit, Selasee has shared the stage with reggae legends Steel Pulse, The Wailers, Third World, The Mighty Diamonds, Don Carlos, Barrington Levy, King Yellowman, The Melodians and Anthony B. .
In his own words—“Humility is power!”
