The Accidental Zoo is delighted to invite you our 2019 family open days where children and grown ups are promised fun filled hours of animal interaction, exploring, learning and fun!
Entry on presentation of PRE-PURCHASED ticket only
Tickets are available for either the morning or afternoon event on each open day which will include:
TAZ animal workshops:
- Farm Animal Antics
- Reptile Encounters
Animal interactions:
- meet our lambs, piglets, calves, goats, ducks, chickens, geese and Strawberry the emu
- get up close with the ducklings and chicks
- chat with the cockatoos
- handle the guest rabbits and tortoise
- mini beast display - giant millipedes, giant stick insects and giant snails
Do something new:
- forest skills - limited availability so register your place early at the activity station
- sheep shearing demonstration - May & June events only
- handle shed snake skins
Fun for all:
- craft tent
- story teller tepee
- log adventure course
- face painting*

Important safety information - ticket purchase confirms your acknowledgement of the points below:
- hand washing facilities with warm running water and soap will be available. Ensure hands are washed after animal contact and prior to eating to avoid infection
- children should be supervised at all times and not run on site or climb on fences/boulders etc
- pregnant women or expected pregnant women should not come in to contact with the lambs
- land is agricultural farmland therefore adequate footware is advised
- fingers and hands etc should not be put through fencing or rails as animals may bite or peck causing injury
- first aider on site and first aid facilities available from the reception desk
