About James Hood
James Hood is renowned as a vital and versatile musical pioneer, especially with his work on the PanART hang, a uniquely mesmeric melodic instrument, and for his collaborations with international animation artists.
His lengthy and varied musical resumé includes playing drums in The Pretenders, an ongoing two-decades-plus run as mastermind of the visionary ambient/electronica act Moodswings, and an expansive array of production and soundtrack projects

Take a breather at The Tech Cafe, which features breakfast burritos, burgers and fries, pasta, hot and cold sandwiches, salads, soups and a menu just for kids. Members get a 10% discount. The cafe, presented by Tony Caters, opens at 10 a.m. Closing times vary.

- San Jose McEnery Convention Center (150 W. San Carlos St.): Weekday and weekend validation for a $5 flat rate. (Garage entrance on Almaden Boulevard between San Carlos and Balbach streets.)
- 2nd and San Carlos Garage (280 S. 2nd St.): Weekday and weekend validation for a $5 flat rate.
$5 flat rate following validation at The Tech Interactive (except when special event pricing is in effect as set by The City of San Jose). Bring your parking ticket to The Tech for validation. Parking at these garages is not free and is only discounted with validation. Additional non-validated parking is also available downtown.
There are limited parking spaces for vehicles with disabled parking permits on South Market Street, near the main entrance of The Tech.
