Professor Anna Haebich is a distinguished Western Australian historian and writer. She is the author of influential texts including the 1988 For Their Own Good: Aborigines and Government in the South West of Western Australia 1900–1940 and in 2000, multi award winning national history of Australia’s Stolen Generations Broken Circles Fragmenting Indigenous Families 1800–2000. Her most recent book is Dancing in Shadows Histories of Nyungar Performance. Anna has strong connections with Nyungar families forged over many years and her partner is a Nyungar Elder, Darryl Kickett.
