The Political Declaration of the High-Level Meeting on Universal Health Coverage (UHC) highlights the need to increase domestic spending for health and calls for governments to spend at least 5% of their GDP on public spending for health. Yet, no low-income countries and only a few lower middle-income countries can reach this target. Can and should development assistance be used to fill this financing gap?

To ensure UHC for all, governments, donors and civil society organizations must invest in partnering with communities. Effective partnerships and efficient funding models are required to maximize equitable access to health for all, particularly poor and marginalized communities.

Join usfor a multipart panel discussion to address the financing gap, highlighting successful funding models and partnerships for supporting community-led and evidence-based UHC. The discussion will be moderated by Loyce Pace, President & Executive Director of the Global Health Council and will feature speakers, including:
