The San Antonio Symphony invites school groups of middle, high school and college age to attend free-admission Open Rehearsals of the San Antonio Symphony in the H-E-B Performance Hall at the Tobin Center. Students will see how a professional ensemble rehearses and be exposed to masterpieces of our Classics Series repertoire and world-class guest artists. Students also have the unique opportunity to interact with Symphony Music Director, Sebastian Lang-Lessing or a guest artist in a post-rehearsal Q&A session.
A limited number of free tickets is available to attend Open Rehearsals. ALL GROUPS OR ATTENDEES MUST RESERVE IN ADVANCE.
Please note that, however unlikely, Open Rehearsal dates, artists and repertoire are subject to change. Notice will be given to reservation holders and adjustments will be made to this page as soon as possible when changes occur.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
If arriving by bus, busses should turn onto Auditorium Circle from 4TH Street and unload directly in front of the main doors on the Performing Arts Plaza. Busses will need to park elsewhere downtown as there is no bus parking at the Center. A City Tour or School Bus Parking Map is available for download at: http://www.sanantonio.gov/CCDO/parking/bus
If arriving by car, it will be necessary to park in a metered space or pay-to-park lot or garage. Besides the Tobin garage, the Enter Lot on the corner of St. Mary’s and Lexington is the closest lot for paid parking. Additional parking information can be found at: https://www.tobincenter.org/plan-your-visit/parking
What can or can't I bring to the event?
Bookbags, backpacks, rucksacks and similar items are NOT ALLOWED in the Tobin Center, and there is no coat check or other area to leave them at the door. These items should remain at school, home or on the bus / in your vehicle. Exceptions will be made for medically-necessary equipment.
