The January edition will feature two experienced community members who identify as Dominants/Tops: Lord Cuff and GoddessMW. Lord Cuff has been a male Master since the 1970s, a BDSM webzine author, and a host of the Buckhead Munch. GoddessMW has been a prominent member of Atlanta’s scene for many years and is a leader of Atlanta’s Black FemDom community as well as Georgia FemmeDommes and Women in Leather Atlanta (WiLA). Welcome to Sophomore ‘Shop, a workshop series for kinksters of all ages who are new to the lifestyle and looking to learn more in a fun, safe, social environment. The workshop hosts are new co-leaders of the established group, Nouveau. We are all fairly new “sophomores” in the community as well, having no more than three years’ worth of BDSM experience. We know that it can be confusing and scary in the beginning. This event will give you a chance to meet others and learn something new in a supportive environment-- there are no “dumb questions” or stupid stories. The workshop is open to all kinksters with less than three years of experience in the community. We plan to foster an atmosphere of peer support and sharing, so we request that only those relatively new to the lifestyle or new to the Atlanta BDSM community attend. Usually a Munch includes a topic that is lead by someone experienced in the community. We thought it would be refreshing to have new kinksters share their very real and current experiences breaking into the world of BDSM and kink. Sophomore Shop is led by those that are new to the community. It is a discussion across the table with others that are just three steps ahead of you. Michelle, is a dynamic leader and her wisdom is clear, but she just came out two years ago.
