Monthly meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at the Ruby McSwain building at the JC Raulston Arboretum except in MAY, PICNIC and December's Awards Banquet. Good luck in the future trying to understand "WHAT IS HAPPENING??" 7:00 PM REFRESHMENTS: Snacks & cold drinks are provided 7:30 PM PROGRAM: The long-awaited January GWC meeting will feature our annual SEED SWAP. Please bring any FAVORITE SAVED SEEDS plus any XTRA seeds you can clean out from your SEED STASH! You need not bring seeds as our many busy members will be bringing spare seeds to share with everyone. Seeds should be identified as there will be tables for many classes of seed: veggies, flowers, bushes and trees. Packaging bags and pens to write contents nomenclature will be provided. Feel free to bring your own empty bags & pen in addition to your xtra seeds in containers for swapping. We will also have Mars Seedless Grape Vine Cuttings to plant and watch grow into a hearty vine. "Bragging rights" plant and cuttings will be welcomed as we do at each GWC meeting. A demo of recycled materials mini-greenhouse assemblies will be presented with a limited quantity of completed ones to take home. Also we will chop up a Calabaza Squash & distribute SEEDS from that item. Beware a single Calabaza plant can grow in excess of hundreds of feet of vine if not prunned! Had one produce nearly 1000 pounds of squash & 1500 ft of vine at our big community garden As always, folks will bring "Bragging Rights" plants to share with others, but are first come, first served for this meeting.
