Greetings Concord and Walnut Creek! This is a Tuesday session that's practically identical to our Monday Shut Up and Writes. Per usual, the goal is to share a productive writing session. We meet at the Panera in Countrywood Shopping Center. It has free wifi and lots of good seating. However, I would strongly suggest bringing some kind of ear buds if you're sensitive to noise. (Having worked out of coffee shops for years as a grad student, I tend to tune out my surroundings pretty easily but even I have trouble with the noise level at this location sometimes.) This place seems to be popular, so we might sometimes need to be flexible about seating. Schedule:3:00 pm - Arrival and finding seats, food and drinks, etc. We may need to seat ourselves at whatever tables are available and, if we are to separate, let's plan on connecting with everyone else before and after writing time. 3:15 pm- Get down to business, sit down and write for 90 mins. I will keep time. 4:45 pm - Finish up and have a brief check-in or continue working on your own. Others around you might begin to chat/leave. Notes: 1. Electrical outlets are not always available, so if you plan to use a laptop, make sure it's fully charged. 2. Attendance is free, but please buy a coffee or a snack to make it worthwhile for our proprietor. 3. I repeat, earbuds and some amount of tolerance for crowds may be essential.
