Map Camp London 2019, Sadler's Wells Theatre, 15th October.
This is our third Map Camp in London and it is kindly sponsored by the Leading Edge Forum. Map Camp is a community run event, it consists of a series of lectures from renowned speakers with a coffee and networking area to meet others mappers from across the globe. We have a wonderful line up of speakers which will be announced shortly. The orginal event in 2017 was planned to be 30 people, we ended up with 180 and over 150 on a waiting list. In 2018, we planned for 350 people, we ended up with 450 and over 260 on a waiting list. This year, we have an even bigger venue in the hope that we might be able to accomodate everyone.

What is Map Camp?
It started as a tweet from Simon Wardley asking if anyone would like to have "a small meetup in London on mapping". It had so much interest that it quickly turned into a full day event. Map Camp is now a series of events including workshops and talks about mapping techniques used in organisations. It’s a community event driven by real practitioners.
Schedule
We will start publishing the schedule over the next few weeks. Early bird tickets are limited to the first 300. We do run a diversity campagin and we aim for not only 50% participation of men and women in the speaker lineup but attendees. For the last two years, we've achieved a 50% balance in speakers but attendence has been around 30% - 35% women. We will be doubling our efforts this year and extending the programme further.
Ticket prices
Early bird tickets are on a first come, first serve basis. There are 300 tickets available at £60+VAT.
Full price tickets will be available at £120+VAT until we run out of space.
I've also put up a "I'm PRIVILEGED and I want to help fund Map Camp" ticket for those who can afford to contribute a bit more and help us fund our diversity campaigns and the event. If you're one of those fortunate few who mapping has benefited please help us pay it forward.
Ticket includes access to the venue, all speaking sessions, breakfast, lunch, coffee and all refreshments. As usual, we'll try and have a goodie bag with books, t-shirt etc - it all depends upon sponsorship.

Map Camp is a community driven event organised by a collection of individuals. All funds raised through ticket sales will be spent on providing Map Camp with any deficit covered by the Leading Edge Forum. Whilst we shall use reasonable skill and care with regards to organising and providing the event, we do not guarantee that you will receive any particular outcome or result in respect of your attendance at the event. Under no circumstances shall our liability to you arising out of or in connection with these conditions exceed the total amount payable by you to us in respect of the booking fee. For the avoidance of doubt, our liability to you shall not extend to any indirect or consequential loss or damage suffered or incurred by you.
