THIS EVENT IS FOR MONTGOMERY COUNTY INDIVIDUALS 18 AND OVER ONLY.
The Montgomery County Community Support Program (CSP) brings together individuals who receive mental health services, their family members, mental health service providers and the Department of Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities/Early Intervention in an equal partnership to promote recovery and excellence in the delivery of community-based mental health services. Every year, the CSP Committee holds a county-wide conference at the Mermaid Lake Swim Club which celebrates mental health recovery and promotes all of the community resources that are available to people as they live, work and enjoy life in Montgomery County. The Montgomery County Commissioners join us to kick off the day, celebrate recovery and present the Mental Health Awards.
Following lunch, the conference incorporates the annual Montgomery County Mental Health Awards Reception Ceremony. During the reception, Recovery and Resiliency awards are given as well as the Dr. Miller Award. These awards highlight all the unique ways recovery and resiliency is supported. The CSP committee also awards the CSP ambassador and Todd Gorman awards during this ceremony. Individuals and organizations are recognized for their achievements and their work in the Montgomery County Mental Health community.
