The ticket price includes a selection of canapés to be served during the networking at the commencement of the evening and a two-course sit down dinner. Drinks will be available for purchase at the bar (Cash & EFTPOS available).

Leigh Sales is an award-winning author and journalist at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and currently anchors 7.30.
Until 2011, Leigh Sales anchored the prestigious Lateline program, interviewing major figures including Hillary Clinton, Tony Blair and Henry Kissinger.
From 2001 to 2005, she was the ABC's Washington Correspondent, covering stories including the aftermath of September 11, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the 2004 Presidential election and Hurricane Katrina.
From 2006 to 2008, Leigh was the ABC's National Security Correspondent, before joining Lateline.
In 2005, Leigh won a Walkley Award, Australia's highest journalism honour, for her coverage of Guantanamo Bay and the case of David Hicks.
Her first book, Detainee 002 was released to widespread critical and commercial success in 2007, winning the prestigious George Munster Award for Independent Journalism for its assiduous investigation, quality writing and balanced reporting. The New York Review of Books lauded Detainee 002 for revealing new information about US policy at Guantanamo Bay. Australian reviewers described the book as astutely paced and absorbing (The Melbourne Age) and emasterfully done, scrupulously fair and forensically accurate (The Australian Literary Review).
Leigh's writing has been published in The Monthly, The Bulletin, The Australian, The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Diplomat. One of her essays was included in The Best Australian Political Writing of 2007.
Her second book, On Doubt, was published in 2009 as part of Melbourne University Publishing's Little Books on Big Ideas series. and a second edition was released in 2017 with an updated section about the Trump post-truth era. Her third book Any Ordinary Day published in October 2018 has already become a No 1 best seller.
Leigh is a sought after public speaker and has appeared at the Lowy Institute for International Policy, the Sydney Institute, the National Press Club, the Australian Institute of International Affairs and the Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne Writers Festivals.
She hosts a wildly popular culture podcast with her friend Annabel Crabb called Chat 10 Looks 3 … about books, television, films and cooking.
She has a Masters in International Relations and a Bachelors in Journalism.
Annabel Crabb is one of Australia's most beloved journalists. She is an ABC writer and presenter who has covered Australian politics for 20 years but also is nationally well-known for her insightful and humorous analysis on gender and current affairs. Annabel has written and presented six seasons of the ABC’s enormously popular Kitchen Cabinet, as well as the groundbreaking documentary series on life inside Parliament – “The House, With Annabel Crabb”. She also presented Back In Time For Dinner, the top-rating ABC series on Australian history and food, and co-starred in Tomorrow Tonight with Charlie Pickering.
Over her career in journalism Annabel has worked as a political correspondent for The Advertiser, The Age and the Sydney Morning Herald, as Europe correspondent for Fairfax’s Sunday titles and written a popular syndicated newspaper column on politics and social affairs. She is the author of The Wife Drought, a humorous and best-selling account of women and work in Australia. Her Quarterly Essay about Malcolm Turnbull, Stop At Nothing, won Annabel a Walkley Award and was expanded and republished as a book in 2016.
She received two Logie nominations in 2013 including the Graham Kennedy Award For Most Outstanding New Talent and Most Popular New Female Talent for her work on the show.
Annabel has written a cookbook, Special Delivery, with childhood friend Wendy Sharpe. Their new book Special Guest: Recipes for the Happily Imperfect Host was published in October 2018.
With friend and ABC colleague Leigh Sales, Australia’s pre-eminent current affairs journalist, Annabel hosts the cult podcast Chat 10 Looks 3 where the pair discusses books, film, culture and cooking.
In 2011, Annabel travelled to the United States as Australia's Eisenhower Fellow to study developments in digital media and politics. She is a regular face on ABC TV’s election night and Budget broadcasts, and has a long history of appearances on ABC’s Insiders programme and across the ABC radio network.

You may transfer your ticket to another person at no cost, except in the instance a member ticket is transferred to a non-member, the ticket price difference must be paid. A partial refund will not be offered for a non-member ticket transferred to a member. Please use the “Contact the Organiser” option within Eventbrite and provide the name, organisation and email address for the ticket transfer.
