We are so pleased to be inviting you to our 11th Chief Nursing Officer’s Black Minority Ethnic Strategic Advisory Group Annual Conference. This will be taking place on the 4th October 2019 at Holiday Inn Bristol Filton Rd, Winterbourne, Bristol BS16 1QX. The conference is being hosted by our CNO of England Ruth May in collaboration, with Sue Doheny (Chief nurse –South West and Ethel Changa South region lead for CNO BME SAG .
This year we are taking a focus on Workforce, Wellness and Wellbeing. Our key note speakers are Ruth May (Chief Nurse of England), Professor Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent (Chief Midwifery Officer for England), Owen Chinembiri (WRES Senior Analalyst), Marvin Rees (Mayor of Bristol) and Tracie Jolliff (National Director of Inclusion).
For the first time we will be awarding two students with the Jane Cummings award. This will go to nursing and midwifery students who have gone the extra mile in championing the equality and diversity agenda. Look out for details on how to nominate your students.
