The World's Greatest Pilots Return to Iowa
Hosted at the Ankeny Regional Airport, the Central Iowa Airshow is the the midwest's premier family aviation event, combining the world’s greatest aerial performers and their eye popping, jaw dropping, heart stopping performances with family fun activities and community engagement to promote aviation. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to help save the Iowa Aviation Heritage Museum. With more than 10 performers and 3 separate shows, the Central Iowa Airshow is one of the midwest's largest and most diverse aviation events!
Join us for the midwest's only Night Airshow + Music Festival, NightFlight, on Friday, August 23, followed by two full airshows on Saturday and Sunday. We hope to see you there!
In addition to the aerial acts, the Central Iowa Airshow will host a pancake breakfast, various aircraft on display, rides in aircraft, delicious food vendors, and a miniature jamboree. Featuring amazing model propeller planes and jets, you'll see some of the finest model aircraft in the world flying at more than 200 miles per hour!

Schedule of Events
NightFlight - Friday 4:30 PM - 11:30 PM
If you think a normal daytime airshow is cool -- wait until the sun goes down. Our Night Airshow + Music festival combines one of the midwest's only night airshows with live music all evening long! Gates are open from 4:30 PM - 11:30 PM. Musical performances include: Hayfire, the Leonard Brothers Band and Hypersona!
Full Airshow - Saturday 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Our full day airshow is packed with all kinds of family fun activities! Start your morning off with our Pilot's Pancake Breakfast at 8:00 AM. Spend your morning touring the vendors and looking at the aircraft on display. The full airshow begins at 1:00 PM - so give yourself plenty of time to get in the gate and enjoy all the fun activities!
Full Airshow - Sunday 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Our full day airshow is packed with all kinds of family fun activities! Start your morning off with our Pilot's Pancake Breakfast at 8:00 AM. Spend your morning touring the vendors and looking at the aircraft on display. The full airshow begins at 1:00 PM - so give yourself plenty of time to get in the gate and enjoy all the fun activities!

What can't I bring to the event?
- No Outside Food/Beverages, Alcohol, Loose Ice, Cans/Glass Bottles
- No Rollerblades, Skateboards, Bikes, Scooters, Segways, ATV/UTV, Golf Carts, Tents/Portable Shelters
- No Pets (service animals are allowed)
- No Knives or Weapons of any kind
- No Smoking or E-Cigaretts (only in designated areas)
- No Coolers (small coolers with infant formula/personal medical supplies will be checked at the gate)
- No Backpacks (except for infant diapers, infant supplies, or camera equpiment. Bags will be checked at gate)
- DRONES ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED WITHIN 5NM OF THE AIRPORT PER FAA RULES
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking information will be released soon. Handicap parking is available for those with handicap identification for their vehicles. Pilots may also fly in to the Ankeny Regional Airport. For more information, contact the Ankeny Regional Airport.
Are daily passes specific to a date?
No! Daily passes are valid for one show of your choice. Once scanned, the ticket will no longer be valid. If you plan on coming to more than one performance, we recommend the Weekend Pass.
Is there bleacher seating available?
No bleachers will be available for the full airshow. We recommend bringing lawn chairs/blankets.

What happens if it rains?
In the event of rain, some flying demonstrations may be delayed or postponed. However, unless the weather poses serious threat to the safety of the visitors and participants, the show will proceed as scheduled with modifications as necessary. Not responsible for weather or cancelled show.
