Join us at The Clay Pot Pottery Studio for fun on the potter's wheel - no experience necessary. The Pottery Wheel Experience will give you insight into the thrill of turning a lump of clay into a beautiful and functional piece of pottery. With the help of the potter, each participant will learn how to wedge clay, center clay on the pottery wheel and throw a shape of your choice. You will then decorate your piece with engobes (colored clay slip that is painted on to the clay). Your piece will dry for a few days before being fired in the kiln and will be ready for you to pick up in about 2 weeks time. Each piece is food safe and microwavable. Hand washing is recommended.This is a BYOB event. You must be 21 years old or older to drink and may bring beer or wine.The cost is $35 per person and includes everything you will need for being creative with the clay-including aprons!
